A journey to building.

It was the fall of 2008 and my wife and I had just bought our first home with the first of what would be four boys on the way. What was probably a flippant remark, Natalie (my wife) said how much she would love a particular Pottery Barn ladder bookshelf. I examined the picture she showed me and thought to myself, “I bet I could build that for a lot less than what they’re asking!” In an effort towards personal interest and not wanting to pass an opportunity to impress my bride, I bought a circular saw and some wood and set sail on what would become a furniture making passion.

I’ve been building furniture for clients over ten years and while I might take on most anything, I especially love building tables. Tables that host people in homes throughout the year hold so much more significance than simply a resting place for food. It is the medium for celebrations, counseling, reunions, moments of grief, first time encounters and so much more. I take great pride in the opportunity to build someone’s furniture and if it’s a fit, I’d love to build yours!
